Wooden French carriage clock

Large French carriage clock signed L Rey Marseille dated around 1840.

The solid rosewood case has silver-plated brass elements. The movement has a going train with a Swiss anchor escapement and striking mechanism that strikes on a gong. The movement runs for a weeek. The dial has gilded hands. On top you’ll find a button for repeating the striking mechanism.
