An austere ebony cabinet which is 2.20 m high with a precision clockwork in it. This clock, ca. 1840, is a very precise time measurer. It’s typical for these clocks to have a pendulum which has a very limited stroke. The weight which goes down on each side of the cabinet is quite light and the pendulum, with a wooden rod, is heavy. The pendulum has a total weight of 9 kilos. The clockwork doesn’t have a striking train, which is seen less often in this type of clock. The enamel dial has two Breguet hands and a seconds hand. This clock runs one week.
