German Eisenuhr Zappler or Kuchwanzpendel, circa 1740

A small model of the Eisenuhr with a pendulum at the front. The clock features movement and striking mechanisms, both made of iron, with a one-day movement. The striking mechanism chimes the hours on a bell. Its compact size adds charm, with dimensions of 23 cm in height and 18 cm in width, making it suitable for placement anywhere. Iron weights drive the clock’s mechanisms. The dial is made of brass and was previously gilded, the numeral ring is silvered.
